Location and directions

The “Stairway” is located in the locality of Vučje, about 20 kilometers from Nikšić in the direction of Žabljak, at an altitude of about 1,340 m. The area belongs to the slopes of the Krnovo plateau and with its continental climate (fresh summers and mild winters with plenty of snow) and primarily beech forests, it represents a real air spa throughout the year. It is located approx. 400 m from the famous tourist and recreational complex – “Vučje Motel”, which is also a ski center hosted by friends of our facility and yours. 

“Stairway” is suitable for families, but also for groups – in a pleasant environment, everyone can find their own oasis of peace, as well as a starting point for potential walking and hiking tours. About 1 km away is the Dažnik peak (1,625 m.a.s.l. – you notice a significant difference in altitude in a small area), which is also considered the center of gravity of Montenegro. It offers a (practically unobstructed) fantastic view all the way to the slopes of Lovcen and Pustog Lisac on one side, or Vojnik, Durmitor and Sinjajevina on the other. The peaks of Mali Žurim (1,960 m.a.s.l.) and Veliki Žurim (2,035 m.a.s.l.) as well as Kapetanovo jezero are located within a 2-3 hour walk, and Vojnik is also relatively close, as well as numerous attractive peaks in the Morački mountains. About 15 kilometers from us are Nevidio canyon and Pošćenska jezera, which have an authentic place on the tourist map of Montenegro (and beyond).
If you are not a big fan of hiking, just above the building, after 2-3 minutes of climbing, there is a lookout from where you can enjoy a great view of unforgettable sunsets (and sunrises if possible) (in the attached pictures), where you can practically feel the zen atmosphere complete coexistence with nature.

The surroundings are also suitable for cycling, skiing and sledding (two ski lifts less than 200 meters away, with trails for children, and there are trails beyond those mentioned). The nearest airport is Golubovci Airport, at a distance of about 81 km from “Stairway”.
